- Property finders
- Anyone who charges a fee to locate unclaimed property for you must register each year with the Department of State Treasurer (General Statute 116B-78) and, since January 1, 2022, be licensed as a private investigator (G.S. 116B-78.1). NC Cash publishes the list of registered finders.
